Faust (the book) is a story about a guy who makes a deal with the devil, exchanging his soul for worldly gains (that's called a faustian bargain), which on a basic level seems to be the story of the movie. (kinda random but, the first time i read faust i enjoyed both the original german. Written by david quinn and james brown.

The book follows a story template similar to the opera faust, but is an updated version.
